Fall is here, and the ReImagine team is cooling down from a summer bustling with in-person events, report releases, and regional advocacy. Here are some of the major milestones from last quarter.

Completed the Appalachian Manufacturing Roadshow Discussion Series: ReImagine Appalachia went on a tour of Central Appalachian states to build support for an Appalachian Manufacturing Action Plan (A-MAP), which sets out action steps and a vision for once again turning the region into a modern manufacturing hub for the nation.Urged Congress to fund regional manufacturing: Our coalition wrote a letter signed by more than two dozen national & state unions, nonprofits, and advocacy groups that came together to urge Congress to restore and strengthen investments in Appalachia’s manufacturing sector for Fiscal Year 2027.

Brought on new team members to advance our responsible development work: The ReImagine team is expanding! We will soon add two staffers to assist our responsible development work ensuring new regional development projects provide community benefits and support long-term economic stability!

What else? Through all of this, we have been consistently producing educational events, tools, and content to help our friends, partners, and coalition members continue to uplift the region!
