APPALACHIA – As the United States accelerates its transition to renewable energy, Appalachia stands at a crucial crossroads. ReImagine Appalachia will hold a virtual panel discussion and interactive forum on Friday, March 28 at 11 AM exploring Appalachia’s unique positioning to become a crucial player in the wind turbine supply chain. The event will examine how the region can leverage its industrial heritage, skilled workforce, and natural resources to create sustainable economic opportunities in renewable energy manufacturing.
In April 2023, wind generation surpassed coal power for the first time in U.S. history, marking a significant shift in America’s energy landscape. The region’s unique combination of assets positions it to become a leader in wind turbine manufacturing:
