Wednesday, May 7th at 1 pm ET via Zoom – The Central Appalachian Network and ReImagine Appalachia for the first in a new series that will explore disaster resiliency in Appalachia. In this webinar, we discussed the basics of disaster resiliency. What are the key areas communities should consider as they explore ways that we can be more prepared for natural disasters like flooding and wildfires? We heard from regional experts and people with on the ground experience with planning, surviving, and recovering from disasters.
This webinar also included information on the Central Appalachian Network’s new mini-grant program that aims to increase capacity for local communities to implement disaster resilience planning and programming!
