Thursday, August 13, 2026 12:00 PM –  1:00 PM ET – When any new development comes to town, communities should have access to relevant information, including potential benefits, potential concerns, impacts to local infrastructure, and more.

Unfortunately, many proposed data centers use non-disclosure agreements (NDAs) and other secretive tactics to limit public knowledge of data center development.

NDAs are legally binding agreements signed by public officials that prohibit them from disclosing any information about a project until it is announced, including financial incentives or power or water use–-many communities don’t even know the name of the company that will be using the data center when it’s complete.

Join us to learn about:

  • What an NDA is and why they matter
  • The kinds of questions and important information an NDA can withhold from communities
  • Efforts to push back against NDAs at local and state levels

Speakers for this webinar will include State Representative Joe Ciresi (PA 146) and Christopher G. Miller, President of the The Piedmont Environmental Council.
