Thursday, December 12, 2024 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM ET – Please join the Appalachian Citizens’ Law Center, ReImagine Appalachia and National Wildlife Federation for a public webinar discussing Appalachia flood policy. In May 2024, dozens of partners signed onto an Appalachia Flood Policy Platform, which outlined flooding issues specific to the Appalachian region, as well as proposed solutions.
Numerous studies have confirmed what we already know: flooding in Appalachia is getting worse, and our communities are incredibly vulnerable. Now is the time to join together and advocate for solutions that will lead to safer, more resilient communities. As we wrap up the year, we’ll revisit these solutions, share stories of the impacts of flooding in Appalachia, and look ahead to 2025 priorities for flooding policy that supports a more resilient Appalachia.
