ReUse Working Group Circular Speaker Series – Community Makerspaces and the Role of Reuse

August 25 Tuesday 1-2PM ET via Zoom - Description: One important component of transforming the Ohio River Valley of Appalachia into a hub for sustainable manufacturing, under the Appalachian Manufacturing Action Plan, involves changing the way we create and incubate products as well as the need to promote reuse of materials that would otherwise be wasted. Join ReImagine Appalachia, the Central Appalachian Network and the Appalachian Re-Use Working Group to hear expert perspectives on the importance of makerspaces, what aspects communities are interested in, the role of reuse, what funding is like for these spaces, and the differences between urban and rural makerspaces.
