Thursday, April 16 at 12 PM ET via Zoom – The conversation around data centers is buzzing – this conversation took a few steps back to examine the basics – what are they? How do they work? What are aspects that communities need to consider when a potential data center might be coming to their town?
PRESENTERS:
Abre’ Conner, Esq. is the Director of the Center for Environmental and Climate Justice and oversees the strategy and collaboration across the NAACP to dismantle environmental racism. She has taught Education Law and was faculty in the Environmental Policy and Management Program at the University of California-Davis.
Dana Kuhnline is the Director of Programs for ReImagine Appalachia. She has two decades of experience working alongside a diverse array of groups across the Central Appalachian region to facilitate creative solutions to long standing regional problems, including reclaiming mine lands, supporting miners with black lung and finding solutions to our climate crisis that both bolster labor and workers in the region while supporting economic diversification. Her professional passions include facilitation, communications, campaign planning and project management. Her personal hobbies include gardening, fiber arts, old homes, and good jokes.
