APPALACHIA – July 7, 2026, 9 AM – 12 PM ET at West Edge Factory in Huntington, WV – A partnership of state and regional organizations will host an in-person gathering aimed at catalyzing West Virginia’s advanced manufacturing initiatives.
ReImagine Appalachia, in partnership with the American Manufacturing Communities Collaborative, Coalfield Development, ACT-NOW, and the Marshall Advanced Manufacturing Center, are inviting local manufacturers, community members, and labor leaders to discuss the build out of a robust manufacturing ecosystem across the Ohio River Valley of Appalachia that meets the needs of the 21st century. This event is part of the partnership’s tri-state roadshow tour to invite stakeholder feedback and buy-in for laying the groundwork to create an advanced manufacturing economy in the Ohio River Valley.
The Huntington event aims to lift up local efforts and build networks within and across West Virginia, Southeastern Ohio, Eastern Kentucky and Southwestern Pa. Core themes will involve building circular systems for manufacturing materials, tackling employment barriers for manufacturing, and improving local access to new and growing markets. Organizers will present the latest advanced manufacturing asset-based research and guiding theories of change that attendees can adapt to meet local needs.
