With the second oldest housing stock in the country, too many homes in Southwestern PA are unsafe and unhealthy—especialy in low-income communities.
Homes desperately need roofing, insulation, and energy upgrades. Yet, there aren’t enough trained workers to do this work.
We need federal funding to train workers with weatherization skills – but funding is running dry. And without workers to update SWPA homes, it will be impossible to serve the underserved.
