August 19th at 1 pm ET

August 19th at 1 pm ET – The Central Appalachian Network and ReImagine Appalachia held the fourth webinar in a series exploring disaster resiliency in Appalachia. Local governments are intended to be the first responders when disasters strike, however, many small towns in Appalachia do not have the funding or staff to adequately respond to flooding. Access to federal funds for disaster prevention, response and recovery requires local resources — both human and financial. This webinar explored several federal disaster relief programs, how communities have engaged with them, and what’s next for these programs in the region.
