ReUse Design Jam [In-Person] : Supporting & Adopting Circular Services & Systems

1040 Vernon Street, Suite 1, Huntington, WV 25704 – The ReUse In-person Design Jams are open, interactive, and collaborative events focusing on generating new strategies and services for collecting, sorting, reusing, and redistributing materials within the manufacturing ecosystems in Appalachia. Participants will respond to shared industry and community challenges and explore ways to build new resources to support the individuals, businesses, and agencies collaboratively building a new regional material management system. The three part event series will uncover new opportunities for all involved to be part of the growing circular economy. 



Who should participate?

Participation in the In-person Design Jam events is open to anyone in the Huntington, WV region! Whether you are an expert or have a growing interest in circularity, manufacturing, and helping Appalachia’s community and economy grow, these events are for you. 

This includes, but is not limited to: 

  • Policy makers, decision makers, and advocates for local and regional economic development
  • Capital, real estate, and technology providers interested in supporting new infrastructure and business investments
  • University, community college, and high school leaders interested in learning about the issues and how to support talent development for the circular economy
  • Experts in circular supply chains, warehousing, distribution, and design
  • Employees, owners, and solopreneurs involved in collecting and sorting materials
  • Solid waste authority leaders and employees
  • Makers, manufacturers, and makerspaces that generate and/or utilize (or are interested in using) post industrial and post consumer materials
